Corporate Design: The importance of a good presentation
Especially musicians tend to underestimate the importance of a good presentation of their ‘product’: After having made a good recording they often think ‘Done!’ and
forget to take care of the graphical aspect of their CD production.
As a professional label, PORTABILE puts great effort in avoiding this (strategical) mistake that easily can cost a lot of money later:
Only a specialist really knows about the countless colour specifications, printing tricks and technical must-haves that ought to be respected for the cover design and later for the printing house.
A graphic designer will generate a kind of ‘hand-writing’ in his drafts which fulfills both the needs of the label and of the band: This is called ‘Corporate Identity’.
This Corporate Identity stands for a high recognition value of the product (the CD) on the market and will therefore lead to better sales possibilities.
This is why all our CD productions — without exception — will be designed by the PMT
graphic artists — starting with the first proposals by the band over his first drafts up to the final print version.
PMT of course welcomes any suggestions from the artists or band concerning the graphic design of their own CDs:

The only graphical appearance of PMT on the cover is the cut at the left side of the CDs that shows our logo.
